Then you’re in luck, as Future Music have just launched a competition in the hope of finding the very best songwriters across the UK. Sound like you? Fresh for 2015 is an exciting competition courtesy of Future Music who is on the hunt for some seriously talented songwriters to show them what they’re made of.

It’s the perfect opportunity for both aspiring and established writers to gain some worthwhile exposure and showcase their skills to all of the right people, providing the potential for entries to get signed and perform in a Grand Final showcase to an audience of A&R representatives from three major UK record labels – Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal Music. The competition will house a prestigious panel of music industry judges throughout each stage of the contest, enabling you to get your music heard by some of the most influential decision makers in the game.

Future Music has already been responsible for the discovery of some of the best songwriters you’ve seen and heard of across the UK today, including Atlantic Record’s Jacob Banks, Warner Music’s Birdy, Sony’s Luke Friend and Columbia Record’s Lucy Spraggan. Judging Criteria

Professional recordings are not needed to enter as entries will be judged on their originality, melody, composition, lyrics (where applicable) and their potential to be a hit song.

Winning acts that make the Grand Final showcase will have the chance to perform on stage at world-renowned music venue Dingwalls which is right in the hub of London’s music scene in Camden and has been home to some of the finest names in music, including Mumford & Sons, Ellie Goulding, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters.
