NEWS: UK rap pioneer Derek B dies
Derek B, one of the first UK rap artists to achieve any degree of commercial success, has died of a heart attack, aged 44. Many fellow artists and DJs from the hip-hop world reported his death early via an array of Twitter updates, among them Estelle, Rodney P, Shy FX and Gilles Peterson. The BBC later confirmed the news.
