TAKE 6: Kano gives six tips on how to make sure your credit don't crunch

‘140 Grime Street’ saw him renew his lease on some valuable hood real estate. Now Kano is back to handle big business and show love to his fans on the alternative side of town. ‘Rock N Rolla’ and ‘Julia’, his collaboration with alternative pop band The Very Best are just a taste of things to come. If street records like ‘NWMOS’ are aimed squarely at die-hards caught up in the past, this latest salvo is a future investment that should find him laughing all the way to the bank.

Kano may be flying high with 'Rock N Rolla', but he is well aware that, in this recession, many people are worried about hitting rock bottom. Grime's original hustler offers a few handy tips to keep your cash flow... erm, flowing.

TAKE 1: DON'T GET A CAR

Enough said (laughs).

TAKE 2: INVEST IN PROPERTY

Investing in property is something I was always told that was good and is something I’ve done recently. It’s not been the greatest market or climate for a property. I’d say don’t go overboard on that.

TAKE 3: DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR MUSIC

Don’t give away your music for free. As an artist I think your life capacity is very important. That’s most artists’ bread and butter and if you don’t retain that... And maintain that, your credit will crunch.
